Static endpoints When a model is deployed as a deployment it gets a unique endpoint assigned to this deployment. Instead of using this unique endpoint, it is usually a better idea to connect this deployment to a static endpoint. These endpoints are static in the sense that they will not change the route. Downstream tasks will connect to this static endpoint, allowing model creators to swap different models without incurring any downtime. Common endpoints to create are /live and /test. Creating an endpoint Creating a static endpoint can be done from the endpoint page in the user interface or at a deployment page. Give a name to the endpoint and add a unique URL for the project. If this is done via the deployment page, it will automatically connect to the current deployment. Swapping an endpoint When a new deployment is available and you want an existing static endpoint to point to this new deployment, this can be done via the endpoints page or from the deployment page. In this case, Cubonacci will ask for confirmation to make sure that this is intended. Disconnecting an endpoint On a deployment page, after every static endpoint is a disconnect button. Clicking this will remove the connection between the endpoint and the deployment, after confirming this is intentional. Warning Cubonacci does not know whether downstream tasks are still expecting this endpoint to work. Disconnecting an endpoint could take down certain functionality of other systems.
